Brookwood House, now 24 years old, is a testament to modern architecture, seamlessly merging natural light, openness, and a profound connection to nature. The white minimalist, two-storey design, anchored by a double-height central atrium, opens on all four sides, inviting daylight and natural ventilation to flow freely through its interior. Set within 3.2 acres of verdant woodland, the house is a nod to early modernism, defined by its crisp white façade and refined geometry.

The architecture dissolves boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. Expansive glazed sliding doors blur the line between the interior and the landscape, creating a fluid transition that not only extends the living spaces but also fosters sustainability and enhances social engagement. Even in winter, the design ensures a strong connection to the natural surroundings, cultivating an atmosphere of tranquility and balance.
The 200 m² ground floor is dominated by the impressive atrium-sitting room, featuring rain-sensitive skylights and a contemporary dual-sided fireplace. A snug, family room, study, cloakroom, and a kitchen further complement the ground level. The indoor pool room, with direct access to the garden, serves as a key leisure space, complete with climate control, a utility room, and wet room.
A semi-circular staircase ascends to the upper level, where four en-suite bedrooms—including a distinctive turret room—are arranged at the four corners of the perimeter walkway, offering both privacy and views of the landscaped surroundings. Adjacent to the main house, a curved annexe provides a self-contained one-bedroom unit with a kitchen and sitting room, opening onto the leafy garden.
Brookwood House’s integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, along with its timeless architectural language, provides a modern family with a harmonious and sustainable living environment.
